60 YEAR EMBLEM PRESENTATION
Bro. Clive Robinson ROH celebrated his 60 Years
in the Order on October the 22nd. To commemorate
this momentous event, the Fenman Lodge will host
an open presentation on Friday January 24th, 2025.
Brothers and their Ladies are welcome, the event
will commence at approximately 8.00 pm,
graze will be provided.

CHEQUE PRESENTATION
At the November 2024 Bingo Night, the PGP
Bro. Pete Dudley KOM & Bro. Bob Macnamara
ROH, presented a cheque to the value of £250
to Louise Hall, Steward of the Farcet Village.
The monies, donated by the Provincial Grand
Lodge and the Fenman Lodge, will be used
to support the Club Kids Christmas Party.

FENMAN LODGE BINGO NIGHTS
The last Bingo / Fish and Chip Supper of the
year took place on the 15th of November at
Farcet Village Club. Once again there was
a tremendous turnout and the raffle, plus
a generous donation, raised £253 for Charity.
On the night we also auctioned a Liverpool
football shirt, donated by Ray Brown.
The successful bid was made by Bro. Bob
Buff of the Valiant Lodge - these monies
will be paid into this years Charity Appeal.
We thank you all for your support at the
2024 events, £1098 was raised for Charity.
Special thanks to the Bingo Team, Clive and
Shirley as well as support from Bob, Chris,
Roy, Barry, John Barrett & Louise Hall.

CHARITY PARACHUTE JUMP
Bro. Jeff (the 'Jump') Powe will undertake a
charity parachute jump on a date to be confirmed.
The 'jump' was originally scheduled for the
4th of October, it was postponed until
the 1st of November but was again
cancelled due to unsuitable conditions.
The event will now not take place until

Appreciation Presentation.
On Monday 14th of October, at the ROH Dinner,
The PGP, Bro. Pete Dudley KOM, presented
Ruth Spencer, the Buffess of Bro. Dave Spencer
ROH, with a Certificate of Appreciation and a
basket of flowers. The presentation was made
in respect of all of the support Ruth has given
Dave during his many years as the Secretary
of the Peterborough & District Grand Lodge.

FENMAN LODGE CHARITY EVENT.
The latest Fenman Bingo & Chippy Supper took
took place on Friday 20th of September at
Farcet Village Club. Another great night with
£220 raised for the Lodge Charity Appeals.

THE WILLOUGHBY LODGE 4172
On Tuesday September 3rd 2024, the PGP,
Bro. Pete Dudley KOM, led a PGL Visit as
well as a Valiant Lodge Regalia visit for the
last time to the Willoughby Lodge who have
announced that they will close after their
meeting on Tuesday the 24th of September.
There were 26 Brothers in attendance
including the Grand Primo for 2020/2021,
Bro. Pete Spence ROH, who has officiated
at several ceremonies at the Lodge over
the past few years. Bro. Pete wished all
Brothers well and good luck in their new
Lodges as did the PGP who said that he'd
always enjoyed his visits to Bourne.

VALIANT LODGE BAR-B-Q
The Valiant thanks everyone for their support of this years
Bar-B-Q held on the 1st of September at Stamford Bowls
Club, the event raised £250 for the PGP's Charity Appeal.

VALIANT LODGE FOURTH DEGREE
Bro. Mike Ansell KOM was raised to the
the Fourth Degree on Sunday 11th of August.
The Exaltation was carried out by the Roll of
Honour President Bro, Terry Collingwood ROH
supported by the ROH Director of Ceremonies
Bro. Tony Carpenter ROH and the Officers of
the Peterborough & District ROH Assembly.
The Exaltation was superbly conducted by
Bro. Terry ably supported by Bro. Tony.
There was an excellent turnout with the
attendance of five Grand Lodge Officers
and Brothers from bordering Provinces.
An excellent afternoon was rounded off
with great graze, well done the Valiant.

2024 BANNISTER CUP
This years event took place on Sunday 28th
of July on Phoenix Pool at Float Fish Farm.
The Eastgate Lodge A Team won the Event with the
Locomotive Lodge winning the Tate Shield as Runners Up,
the Eastgate B Team came third to win the Goodwin Cup.

Steve Jones receives the Parker Shield from Pete for Top Weight by a Buff,
Runner up was Mick Clay with Martyn Sharp third, all 3 from the Eastgate A.
Top Weight for a Non Buff was won by Steve Belham, Eastgate B,
with the Kate Wright Shield, presented once again by PGP Pete
Mick Clay with the first of his individual trophies, the Dick
Knock Trophy presented for the heaviest fish caught .............
.......... and the second, the Grand Waiters Cup for the
smallest fish, both presented by PGP Pete.
Jeff Powe receives the Grand Waiters Trophy from Pete presented to the best
'Best Dressed Angler on the Bank' a trophy only usually won by Bob Macnamara.
The final presentation was Mick Reeve picking up the 'Last Runner
Up Award' also known as the 'Where's all the fish at award?'.
The PGP, Brother Pete Dudley KOM, was thanked for
presenting the trophies and fishing the competition.
The organisers thanked all present for continuing to
support the event and looked forward to the next event.
At the August PGL, Bro. Pete Pierce presented a cheque for £237 on
behalf of the Eastgate Lodge, monies raised during the Bannister Cup.

EASTGATE LODGE HOG ROAST
Thanks to everyone who attended the annual Hog
Roast on Saturday 6th of July at Farcet Village Club.
£315 was raised for this years supported Charities.
Entertainment was provided by the
excellent Palmy Ukulele Band.

FENMAN LODGE BINGO/ FISH & CHIP SUPPER
FRIDAY 21st JUNE AT FARCET VILLAGE CLUB.
Thanks to everyone for their attendance, the support
from other Lodges of the Province is much appreciated.
Well done to the Bingo Team of Clive & Shirley with
the Checkers Barry & John, the Ticket Sales Team of
Chris, Tina, Bob as well as Roy and Linda sorting the
tickets. Also assistance in helping to feed the 'masses'
was willingly provided by Steve, Barry, Bob and Jeff.
Thanks to a donation at the end of the night from Steve
Belham, the final total raised for the evening was £300.

VALIANT LODGE INSTALLATION
Bro. Robert Dudley was installed to the Second Degree
on Sunday the 28th of April at Wittering Social Club.
The Installation was be conducted by the Provincial
Grand Primo Bro. Pete Dudley, KOM, ably supported
by the Provincial Grand Chamberlain, Bro. Tony
Carpenter ROH, and the Officers of the Peterborough
and District Provincial Grand Lodge.
There was an excellent turnout with Regalia Visits
from the Kings Lynn PGL and the Locomotive Lodge.
Also in attendance was several Grand Lodge Officers
including the Grand Primo, Bro. John Brogan ROH as
well as regular and welcome visitor to our province,
Bro. Pete Spence ROH, Past Grand Primo 2020/2021.
Bro. Pete (Brother Dad) Dudley KOM delivered a fine
installation & the afternoon was completed by a raffle
& some excellent graze provided by the Lodge Ladies.
On Tuesday 21st May, The PGP, Bro. Pete Dudley, KOM,
presented Bro. Robert Dudley, CP, with his Second
Degree Emblem during the PGL Visit to the Valiant.

FENMAN LODGE BINGO/FISH & CHIP SUPPER
The event took place on Friday 22nd March at Farcet
Village Club. There was a great turnout & the support
of the Valiant Lodge was very much appreciated.
A special mention to the PGL Bingo Caller Clive
Robinson, supported by Shirley on Ticket Sales and
Checkers Barry Scotney and John Barratt. The Bingo
Tickets were provided by Roy Bell & Linda, organised
and sold by Chris Wall & Jill Middleton.
Support of the Bingo Night was provided by
Lodge Stalwarts Bob Macnamara & Barry Scotney.
Thanks to everyone one who participated, the total
amount raised, including some generous donations,
came to £300 and will be shared between the Lodge
Charity Appeals 'Talking Newspapers' and the PGP's
Outside Charity Appeal 'Good Neighbours'.

At the PGL Meeting on the 3rd of January, cheque
presentations were made to the Immediate Past

of the Eastgate Lodge to the IPPGP Bro. Martyn Sharp ROH.

FENMAN LODGE CHEQUE PRESENTATION 2023
At the Lodge Meeting held on the 15th of December,
Bro. Bob Macnamara, ROH, presented the Club Kids

Club. The Eastgate Lodge thanks for your support

CHARITY APPEAL CHEQUE PRESENTATION
At the April PGL, Bro. Colin Dean, ROH, PPGP 2020 / 2021
announced that he had presented the Charity Appeal cheque to a
representative of Dementia South Lincs. The cheque was received by
Kate Martial on the 15th of March at a social meeting for dementia
sufferers that takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
The presentation by Colin received a great round of applause
and an appreciative thanks from from manager Kate.

Romayne and Barry Scotney celebrated 50 years of
wedded blisson Friday 31st of March at the Farcet
RAOB & Village Club. The evening was well supported
with many Brothers of the Province in attendance.

the many Cards and Gifts but mostly for their attendance.

cheque for £1764 to representatives of No Gain No Pain.

did in the community and thanked the Brothers, including
the Provincial Grand Primo for their attendance.

EASTGATE LODGE 2022 CHARITY APPEAL
At their pre-Christmas meeting, members of the Eastgate Lodge
presented £3500 to the Friends of Heltwate School.
Heltwate School in Bretton Peterborough is a co-educational
special school for children and young people aged 4 to 19 years
with Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum
Condition & many additional medical needs.
On behalf of the Lodge, Steve Jones and chief fundraiser
Pete, who with wife Anne, raised most of the cash at car boot sales
throughout 2022 said: The Eastgate Lodge is pleased to support
a cause which does do much marvellous work with children
and young people.

SECOND DEGREE CEREMONY
Bro. Maurice Beck of the Locomotive Lodge was Inducted to the
2nd Degree on Thursday 24th November 2022.
A Superb Ceremony was conducted by Bro. Pete Dudley, KOM,
PPGP, 2009, ably assisted by the Provincial Grand Chamberlain
Bro. Martyn Sharp, ROH.

FENMAN LODGE HORSE RACING
The event took place on Friday 18th of November
2022 at the RAOB & Village Club Farcet.
The Brothers of the Fenman Lodge would like
to thank all of the Brothers and Lodges who
supported the event by buying horses and
sponsoring the races. We would also like to
thank those who turned up on the evening.
The Race Night raised £915.50 in support of
the Lodge Charity Appeal, No Gain No Pain.
