2026 PGP'S CHARITY APPEAL


Fenvision is a registered charity established in 1923 to care for the blind and partially sighted within what was the old county of the Isle of Ely, prior to it being amalgamated with Cambridgeshire. Caring for the needs of visually impaired people within North East Cambridgeshire, with offices and resource centre based in March Town Hall, services include:

  • Home visits to each of our members on registration with the society and to our existing members on request.
  • Information and advice on low vision aids, equipment and services that are available at the March office, also at Doddington hospital (Weds) and Aces Wisbech.
  • Society activities which include outings, Christmas party.
  • Each month they hold support group meetings in Ely, March and Wisbech.
  • Liaise with sensory services and other organisations.
  • Keep in regular touch with members through newsletters and birthday cards and always available to help with any problems they may encounter.
  • IT classes weekly - we also run basic computer courses using a large screen and large keyboard if required. We can also help with tablets, iPads and phones.

CHARITY APPEAL 2025


LODGE PRESENTATIONS


At the January PGL Meeting the Brethren of the

Eastgate Lodge 6393 & the Fenman Lodge 8960

presented the IPPGP with cheques from monies

collected for the 2025 Charity Appeal 'Disability

Peterborough'. Bro. Steve thanked Bro. Pete

Pierce ROH and Bro. Bob Macnamara ROH, the

Brethren of both Lodges and all brothers who

had supported the appeal. He said that monies

raised had come from Lodge Christmas Draws,

Car Boot Sales run by Bro. Pete (14th year of

operation having raised tens of thousands of

pounds), a Parachute Jump by Bro. Jeff Powe of

the Fenman, the Bannister Cup Fishing Match,

Bingo Supper Nights, PGP Bottle Draws and the

benevolence of the brethren of the Province.

2025 PGP'S APPEAL BOTTLE DRAWS

The PGP's 1st Bottle Draw took place after PGL on the 7th of April - there were wins for Brothers Martyn Sharp, Bob Macnamara & Rod MacGregor (2 each), Steve Jones, Pete Dudley, Roy Grundy and David Hildred (1 each).

The Draw raised a magnificent £470.


The 2nd Draw will took place at the August PGL, there were

wins for Bob Macnamara & Martyn Sharp (two each), Bruce Duncombe, Jeff Powe, Roy Grundy, Barry Burrell, Rod MacGregor, Steve Jones, Pete Pierce and Tony Carpenter.

The Draw raised a further £530.


The third draw took place on the 19th of December at the Fenman Lodge with wins for Bob Macnamara & Pete Pierce (two each), Bruce Duncombe, Steve Jones, Dave Spencer, Rod MacGregor, Tony Carpenter and Roy Grundy.

The Draw raised £500 making the total of £1500.
