FENMAN LODGE BINGO/FISH & CHIP SUPPER

The event took place on Friday 22nd March at Farcet

Village Club. There was a great turnout & the support

of the Valiant Lodge was very much appreciated.

A special mention to the PGL Bingo Caller Clive

Robinson, supported by Shirley on Ticket Sales and

Checkers Barry Scotney and John Barratt. The Bingo

Tickets were provided by Roy Bell & Linda, organised

and sold by Chris Wall & Jill Middleton.

Support of the Bingo Night was provided by

Lodge Stalwarts Bob Macnamara & Barry Scotney.

Thanks to everyone one who participated, the total 

amount raised, including some generous donations,

came to £300 and will be shared between the Lodge

Charity Appeals 'Talking Newspapers' and the PGP's

Outside Charity Appeal 'Good Neighbours'.

VALIANT LODGE EXULTATION

Bro. David (Sam) Fishburn KOM, was raised to the

Fourth Degree on the afternoon of the Sunday 

24th March at Wittering 'Sports of Social Club'

The Exultation was conducted by the ROH Assembly

President Bro. Terry Collingwood, ROH, PPGP 2010,

supported by the Director of Ceremonies, Bro. Tony

Carpenter ROH, and the Officers of the Peterborough

and District ROH Assembly.

Bro. Terry performed an excellent Ceremony and the

superb turnout of support was very much appreciated

by Bro. Sam who also thanked the Ladies led by Tracey

who once again presented a superb Buffet Graze.

VALIANT LODGE INSTALLATION

Bro. Robert Dudley will be raised to the Second

Degree on Sunday the 28th of April at Wittering

Social Club - 1 Silver Birch Court, Wittering, PE8 6BY.

The Installation will be conducted by the Provincial

Grand Primo Bro. Pete Dudley, KOM, also the 2009 PPGP,

supported by the Provincial Grand Chamberlain, Bro. Tony

Carpenter ROH, and the Officers of the Peterborough

and District Provincial Grand Lodge.

The Lodge will open at 1.00 pm with Regalia and

Official Visits welcome at 1.30 pm.

The Lodge will close at 4.00 for Graze.

Congratulations to Bro. Bob Salmon ROH and PPGP

Bro. Colin Dean ROH who were presented with their

60 Year Certificates by Past Grand Primo, 2020-2021,

Brother Bob also received his Honorary Membership.

EASTGATE LODGE HOG ROAST

Took place on Saturday 22nd July at that Parkway

Club. The Eastgate Lodge thanks for your support

with the Raffle raising £282 with again lots of prizes

available. Many thanks to Chris & Tina for the ticket

sales and the ticket folding for which they were

assisted by many others originally headed for the bar.
The catering was again provided by Malcolm Hollis of

March followed by a great set from Shadowside.

Took place on Sunday 9th of July with the Raffle

raising £200 for the PGP's Charity Appeal.

CHARITY APPEAL CHEQUE PRESENTATION



At the April PGL, Bro. Colin Dean, ROH, PPGP 2020 / 2021

announced that he had presented the Charity Appeal cheque to a

representative of Dementia South Lincs. The cheque was received by

Kate Martial on the 15th of March at a social meeting for dementia

sufferers that takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

The presentation by Colin received a great round of applause

and an appreciative thanks from from manager Kate.

50th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS



Romayne and Barry Scotney celebrated 50 years of

wedded blisson Friday 31st of March at the Farcet

RAOB & Village Club. The evening was well supported

 with many Brothers of the Province in attendance.

Romayne and Barry would like to thank everyone for

the many Cards and Gifts but mostly for their attendance.

60 YEAR CERTIFICATE PRESENTATION STAMFORD

Bro. Terry Collingwood, ROH, PPGP 2010, of the Valiant Lodge,

8806,was presented with his 60 Year Membership Certificate

on Tuesday 28th February by the Worthy Primo Bro. Pete

Dudley KOM, PPGP 2009.

There were Regalia Visits from the Willoughby Lodge

& the Billavincea Lodge from the Cambridge Province.

excellent ceremony as well as all of the Brothers for their attendance

and told those present how proud and emotional he felt.

FENMAN LODGE 8960 CHARITY PRESENTATION

The Worthy Primo Bro. Barry Burrell ROH presented a

cheque for £1764 to representatives of No Gain No Pain.

Brother Barry thanked NGNPUK for the great work they

did in the community and thanked the Brothers, including

the Provincial Grand Primo for their attendance.

At their pre-Christmas meeting, members of the Eastgate Lodge

presented £3500 to the Friends of Heltwate School.

Heltwate School in Bretton Peterborough is a co-educational

special school for children and young people aged 4 to 19 years

with Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum

Condition & many additional medical needs.

On behalf of the Lodge, Steve Jones and chief fundraiser

Pete Pierce presented the cheque to Laura Jones

(Steve's daughter who works at the school).

Pete, who with wife Anne, raised most of the cash at car boot sales

throughout 2022 said: The Eastgate Lodge is pleased to support

a cause which does do much marvellous work with children

and young people.

Mr. Jeffrey Powe was initiated into the RAOB GLE on Friday 26th

of August at the Farcet Village Club, the Brothers of the

Fenman would like to thank the Brothers of the Valiant and

 Eastgate Lodges for their attendance.

Bro. Jeff was presented with his Parchment and First
Degree Emblem at the meeting held on 9th September.

During the meeting, Bro. Mark Valance made a
£50 donation to the Lodge Outside Charity Appeal.
The monies were the winnings from Charity Draw
held at Float Fish Farm during the Bannister Cup.
This years appeal is supporting the 'March Armed
Forces Veterans Hub' & the 'March Community Fridge'.

Thanks to Pete Pierce for running the Raffle and again

doing the weigh-in to help make the event a success.

During the last two years Pete & Ann Pierce have
raised £3000 from their Car Boot Sales, this added
to monies generated from the Annual Cash Draws
make's a total of £4200 for the Lodge Charity Appeal.

The cheque presentation took place at the
Parkway Club on the 20th of January 2022.
The cheque was presented to representatives
of the Salvation Army by the Worthy Primo,
Bro. Roy Grundy, KOM, and the Main Fund
Raiser Bro. Pete Pierce, ROH. 

Bro. 'Jeff' Jefford, ROH, PPGP, received his Honorary
Membership Certificate and Jewel from the Worthy
Primo, Bro. Steve Jones, ROH, at a Ceremony conducted
at his Home on Thursday 30th of December 2021.
Also in attendance was the City Secretary Bro. Martyn

Friday 29th November. Thanks for your attendance

and support also those  that couldn't make it but made

generous donations instead. The total raised,

including monies from Raffle ticket sales, was £1045.

Bannister Cup Winners, Eastgate II

This years event took place on August 4th at Phoenix Pool, on the

Float Fish Farm complex, after the match we relocated to the

Farcet Village Club for the Trophy presentation and Buffet.

Thanks to all of the Lodges of the Province for their support,

Pete Pierce for selling Raffle Tickets on the day and weighing

during & at the end of the match. Thanks to PGP, Sam Fishburn,

who assisted with the Final Weigh and presented the Trophies.
